lawak omputih pulak....

Once day, a man came to a village and announced to the villagers that he would buy monkeys for RM5 each. As there were many monkeys around, the villagers thought they could make some money and went out to the forest to catch them.

The man bought hundreds of monkeys at RM5 each. Soon the supply of monkeys started to diminish and the villagers stopped catching the monkeys.

The man then announced that he would now buy the monkeys buy at RM10 each. This spurred the villagers to renew their efforts and they started catching monkeys again. The supply of monkeys again diminished and the villagers stopped catching monkeys. Anyway they had already earned a lot of money from selling their monkeys.

The man next offered to buy the monkeys at RM15 each. But the supply of monkeys had became so little that it was difficult to even see a monkey, let alone catch one.

The man now announced that he would buy monkeys at RM40. However, he had to go to back the city so his assistant would now buy the monkeys on his behalf.

In the man’s absence, the assistant told the villagers “Look at all these monkeys my boss had bought. I will sell them to you at RM35 each. When my boss returns, you can sell them to him for RM40 each and make a nice profit.”

All the villagers pooled all their savings and bought all the monkeys. The assistant then went back to the city with all the villagers' savings.

The villagers waited but never saw the man or his assistant again. They were left with only monkeys they started off in the first place!
